...You can't type a URL into a file uploader. Ever. It will never work correctly. On any site. Ever. You're able to type into it on some browsers so that you can type a path that exists on your own hard drive.

The only limit on your team graphic is it must be less than 50k. It will automatically be sized so that the longest side is 320 pixels. If you have no means to compress a jpeg, you just haven't looked hard enough.
